PROJECT BACKGROUND
CultiVETing – Cultivating Entrepreneurship in the Agrifood Sector through VET (Project Number: 101129381) is a Capacity Building project funded by the Erasmus+ programme and implemented by 13 partners from Albania, Kosovo, and the EU.
The project aims to strengthen the link between vocational education and the labor market in the agrifood sector – a sector of strategic importance for both the economy and sustainable development in the Western Balkans.
CultiVETing addresses key challenges in the TVET ecosystem, including:
- Limited inclusion of rural and marginalized communities.
- Weak digital transformation in agriculture.
- Low perception and undervaluation of VET paths.
- Insufficient alignment of training with real market needs.
Through the design and delivery of tailored curricula, teacher training, and multi-stakeholder engagement, the project supports the emergence of more inclusive, green, and entrepreneurship-oriented TVET models across Albania and Kosovo.
THEMATIC TRAINING COURSES:
Participants will receive training and teaching materials for the following 5 curriculum modules:
- Green and Circular Economy Principles for Agri-food Sector
- Agroecology and Sustainable Agricultural Practices
- Digital and Technological Innovation in Agrifood
- Entrepreneurial Skills for Youth in the Agrifood Sector
- Inclusion, Gender Equality and Empowerment in Green Agrifood Education
Each course includes a full training package: PowerPoint slides, quizzes and contextualized guidelines to support integration into regular teaching.
DURATION AND FORMAT
The ToT programme will begin in September 2025 and will be delivered through a combination of:
- Two online training workshops (one for Albania and one for Kosovo)
- Self-paced learning using digital materials provided in English and Albanian
- An overall training workload equivalent to approximately 10 teaching hours per course (50 hours in total), with flexibility for integration into teachers’ schedules
Participants will be expected to review the course materials, attend live online sessions, and actively engage in group discussions and feedback rounds.
Timespan of the training: September 2025 – October 2025
Places available: 10 for Albania and 10 for Kosovo.

WHO CAN APPLY
Applications are open to:
- Teachers and trainers from secondary vocational schools or other TVET institutions in Albania or Kosovo
- Individuals with minimum 3 years of professional experience
- Educators motivated to bring green, inclusive and job-oriented themes into their classrooms
- The training will be delivered in Albanian language but English proficiency is encouraged, as materials and webinars will be delivered also in English
Specific criteria of selection are as follows:
Educational Background and Professional Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in education, science, IT, engineering, agriculture, environmental studies, or relevant vocational disciplines.
- Certified teaching license for secondary education (preferably in technical or vocational subjects) and/or a recommendation from the school director.
- Additional certification in environmental sustainability, renewable energy, or green technologies is considered an asset.
Teaching Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a professional or vocational high school teacher. Experience in teaching subjects related to: Sustainable agriculture, Renewable energy, Circular economy, Environmental protection, Food production, Tourism, Digital technologies, Rural entrepreneurship.
- Demonstrated use of experiential learning, project-based teaching, or applied science in the classroom.
Technical and Practical Skills
- Familiarity with vocational tools, green competences and technologies, or technical applications (solar panels, compost systems, recycling processes, etc.).
- Competence in digital tools for blended learning and green technology simulations.
- Hands-on experience in workshops, labs, or field training environments.
Soft Skills and Attitudes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Motivation to contribute to the transition towards a green and sustainable economy.
- Demonstrated leadership in promoting eco-values in educational settings.
Professional Development and Lifelong Learning
- Participation in previous trainings, seminars, or certifications in green-related topics.
- Willingness to pursue further upskilling in line with green competences and teaching for sustainable development.
